Development Works Focused on Basic Needs in Ward No. 1
Water Supply
Results of Persistent Efforts
After 7–8 years of continuous follow-up, the Bhama Askhed Water Supply Project was successfully completed, ensuring improved water availability across the ward.
Increased Water Storage Capacity
To meet rising demand, four water tanks of 25 lakh litres each were constructed at Munjaba Vasti, Dhanori, and Kalas, securing long-term water storage.
Strengthened Water Distribution System
The entire water distribution network was upgraded to ensure regular, clean, and uninterrupted water supply.

ROADS & CONNECTIVITY
- Key DP roads opened, reducing traffic congestion.
- Road widening, concreting, and repairs completed across the ward.
- Vishrantwadi flyover improved connectivity and traffic flow.
- Footpaths developed to ensure pedestrian safety.

Strengthened Drainage System
- Old, narrow, and damaged drainage lines were replaced with wider and modern pipelines.
- Water leakages and blockages were resolved, significantly reducing sanitation issues.
- Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects were approved to strengthen long-term wastewater management.
Street Lighting & Safety
- Overhead electric lines were shifted underground in several areas.
- New electric poles and LED streetlights were installed to improve night-time visibility and safety.
EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
With a focus on delivering modern learning facilities to ward students –
- An ultra-modern English-medium e-learning school was established at Munjaba Vasti, providing quality education and facilities free of cost.
- Meritorious students were honoured through felicitation programs to encourage academic excellence.
- Educational assistance and essential learning materials were provided to students from economically weaker sections.

SPORTS FACILITIES
Encouraging Sports & Youth Development
- A swimming pool was constructed to promote fitness and sports culture.
- Badminton courts were developed to provide accessible indoor sports facilities.
- महापौर चषक क्रीडा स्पर्धा organised every year to encourage competitive sports.Various sports promotion initiatives were conducted to motivate young athletes and players.

PARKS & CULTURAL FACILITIES
Parks & Green Amenities
For citizens’ health, environmental conservation, and daily recreation, new parks including Arcvista Garden (1 acre), Shriram Udyan, and Gini Garden were developed, along with upgrades and improvements to existing parks across the ward.
Cultural & Social Facilities
- A dedicated recreation centre for senior citizens was established.
- A multipurpose hall was constructed to support social, cultural, and community activities.

Regular skill development, self-employment, and personality development training programmes were organised to make women self-reliant.

Recognition & Motivation
Outstanding women achievers from various fields were honoured to inspire and motivate others.
Economic Empowerment
Under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, thousands of women were connected to government schemes, strengthening their financial security and independence.

Modernisation of Dhanori Crematorium
The Dhanori crematorium was modernised to ensure dignified and well-equipped last rites facilities for citizens.
Disaster & Emergency Support
Immediate assistance, essential supplies, and relief were provided to families affected by floods, disasters, or emergencies.
Dhanori Police Station & Post Office
A new police station was established in Dhanori, strengthening law and order.
A post office was set up to provide citizens easy access to government services and welfare schemes.
Free Government Certificates
Free distribution of government certificates to help citizens access public services easily.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION & TREE PLANTATION
Expanding green cover and creating a clean, beautiful ward has been a key objective of my work.
Tree Plantation & Conservation
- Large-scale tree plantation carried out at public places, roadsides, and in the Dhanori Urban Forest area.
- Continuous tree plantation and conservation activities under the “Green Dhanori” initiative.
- Regular watering, fencing, and maintenance ensured for planted trees.
- Over 5,500 trees planted and nurtured across the ward.

GREEN DHANORI MARATHON & PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
- Through the Green Dhanori Marathon 2025, 10,000+ citizens participated enthusiastically, spreading a strong message of environmental conservation.
- Active citizen participation strengthened the foundation for the development of the Dhanori Urban Forest.
- Development work initiated for an urban forest spread across 70+ acres, promoting long-term environmental balance.

PROPOSED & FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Ultra-modern Municipal Hospital proposed to provide accessible, quality healthcare for all citizens of the ward.
Planned Metro connectivity in the Vishrantwadi area, with continuous follow-up to reduce traffic congestion and improve mobility.
Development of Pune’s largest Urban Forest – ‘धानोरी नागरी वन उद्यान’, aimed at expanding green cover and maintaining environmental balance.
Proposal for a modern indoor sports complex to support athletes and youth development.
Construction of a Maji Sainik Sadan to honour and support ex-servicemen.

Commitment to Development
Development has always remained the central focus of my work. As a people’s representative who believes not just in promises but in work delivered on the ground, planned and citizen-centric development has been carried out across Ward No. 1 (Kalas–Dhanori–Lohagaon area).
Throughout this journey, I have received invaluable support from Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, party workers, administrative officers and staff, and most importantly, the members of Mata Jijau Pratishthan and aware, responsible citizens of the ward. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of them.
Honouring the trust shown by citizens, the mission to complete remaining development works on priority and to reach every household with progress will continue with the same dedication and determination in the future.
